The evening of June 4, 2018, Camden County Regional Chamber of Commerce held their annual A Taste of South Jersey aboard the Battleship New Jersey in Camden, NJ. This year’s theme was “CELEBRATE OUR BIG 5,” meaning all five branches of our U.S. Military. We had great participation from a variety of eateries, sponsors, and the community. Tammy Paolino, Feature Strategist & Engagement Editor for Courier-Post, served as our BEST IN SHOW judge again this year. Our attendees, including Camden County Freeholder Director, Louis Cappelli, Jr., were able to vote for the categories TASTERS CHOICE and BEST DESSERT via iPad technology, managed by #TechStarters.
This year’s winners were: Cherry Hill High School West for BEST IN SHOW; with tied runners-up The Mansion on Main Street and Zallie’s Catering. TASTERS CHOICE win was defended by Camden County Technical School at the Pennsauken Campus; with runners-up The Capital Grille and The Mansion on Main Street. BEST DESSERT was secured again by Seasons 52; with runners-up Camden County Technical School – Pennsauken Campus and Cherry Hill High School West.
As always fantastic support by our sponsors and the community especially: Battleship New Jersey; Lourdes Health System; Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine; Zallie’s Catering; #TechStarters; Parker McCay, PA; Albert’s Transportation; and Largemoor Film & Digital Services, Inc. A special thanks to our volunteers and attendees from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, 87th Force Support Squadron under the guise of their Commander, PAULA C. COTTRELL, Lt Col, USAF.
