Philadelphia Union Hosts Battle of the Branches Soccer Tourney on Battleship August 9, 2022

Philadelphia Union, in partnership with Boeing, Liberty USO, and Battleship New Jersey, will honor Military Appreciation with their

annual Battle of the Branches 5v5 mini-soccer tournament on Thursday, August 11, which will take place on the Pier of the Battleship

New Jersey, on the Camden Waterfront, NJ.

 

In addition to the tournament, the event will conclude with a party with food, beverages, and live entertainment. As the presenting

partner of the tournament, Boeing also partners with the Union on other local events, including Military Appreciation Night and

Pennsylvania/Delaware/New Jersey STEM Signing Day.

 

The teams are made up of active-duty military, as well as retired, reserve, DOD civilians, and friends and family playing in honor or

memory of military members, in the Philadelphia area. The winning team will receive free tickets to the Union’s Military Appreciation

Game on Sunday, August 13, and will be recognized in front of fans and the team.

 

The tournament group stage will run from 2-4 p.m. ET followed by the knockout rounds. Media is encouraged to come during that
