Nuclear Permission To Fire Keys November 15, 2023

This is a 120% sized scale replica copied from the original Nuclear Permission to Fire keys found on board the battleship.

While it has not been declassified whether or not New Jersey ever carried nuclear Tomahawk cruise missiles the ship was able to launch them and had a multi key initiation sequence. The key holes and the original key this is modeled off of can be seen in the ship’s Combat Engagement Center where the order to fire would have been carried out.

Note: These keys are intentionally oversized to not fit into Navy launch consoles.
