FIRE POWER TOURS ARE BACK!
The Battleship’s signature tour – the Fire Power Tour – is back! The Fire Power self-guided tour reopened for guests on Thursday, July 2, 2020.
Guests can experience the interior spaces of the Battleship again! Track a tomahawk missile in the Combat Engagement Center, look in at the engine rooms along Broadway, check out artifacts in the Exhibit area, climb into a bunk to learn what life was like aboard this floating city, and more! Tours will still include the exterior decks, with highlights like the 16-inch gun turret, the tomahawk missile launch boxes, the Seasprite helicopter and more. The interior of the Battleship is air conditioned and with the nice breezes off the Delaware River when you are outside on the exterior decks, the Battleship is a cool experience!
All guests still must pass a health screening, which includes a contact-less thermometer temperature check, in the Visitors Center before purchasing or redeeming their ticket. All guests must wear a face covering and practice social distancing of one fathom — six feet — in the Visitors Center and while touring the Battleship. The tour route of the Battleship, along with the Visitors Center, will be continuously cleaned and disinfected by the Battleship’s housekeeping personnel.
Fire Power self-guided tours will be available every day, beginning Thursday, July 2, from 10:00 AM with the last tour launching at 4:00 PM.
As our gift for your patience during the quarantine, free parking is available along Clinton St. (GPS: 100 Clinton St., Camden, NJ) and in the Marina Parking lot.
NATIONAL RESTORATION DISINFECTED THE BATTLESHIP
The crew of National Restoration disinfected the Officers’ Wardroom and all of the interior portions of the Battleship’s Fire Power self-guided tour on July 1. The disinfectant will kill the Covid-19 virus within 30 seconds and works to up to 30 days.
Perfect timing for the Battleship, which opened the Fire Power self-guided tour on July 2!
