The Battleship has 130 signal flags which fly above the ship on holidays and special events. These flags include letters, numbers, and specialty flags such as the Port Pennant, Starboard Pennant, Speed Pennant, etc. Each flag is larger than three feet wide. From time to time these flags are retired and replaced due to wear.

The Battleship New Jersey is hosting the 3rd annual Rope Rescue class conducted thru a partnership between NSR Solutions LLC and Safety & Survival Training, LLC.
