Model Con Interactive Model Exhibit Aboard the Battleship August 4, 2022
“Ships & Sea Shanties”, Gun Salutes and a Beer/Wine/Soda Bar Included with a Tour of the Battleship
WHEN: Saturday, August 6 10am – 4pm
WHAT: The 4th Annual ModelCon will feature an extensive array of ship models from every maritime era
onboard the historic Battleship New Jersey on Saturday, August 6. Last year’s ModelCon hosted
over 100 models.
There is no additional charge for viewing the model displays on the ship. A purchase of a tour
ticket will get you aboard.
Modelers will explain their models, historical reference, materials and/or building processes.
Live music by the New Jersey Seadogs; a sea shanty band, will be perform on the ship’s fantail in the
model display area with beer, wine & soda bar service available.
Guests can also pull the trigger to fire the ship’s saluting gun for a $50 donation. Salutes will take place
between 12 PM and 2PM.

Berthed on the Camden Waterfront along the Delaware River, the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial
is open every day from 10am to 4pm for tours. Sink some for the Battleship! The annual Golf Tournament will
take place at Medford Lakes Country Club on Monday, Sept. 12. A BBQ lunch, prizes and some great golf, plus
all proceeds goes to support the Battleship, a non-profit museum and memorial. Sponsorships are available. For
