Flag Day Ceremony at the Battleship NJ June 12, 2023
WHEN: Flag Day, Wednesday, June 14 10am
WHAT: For Flag Day, Wednesday, June 14, the Battleship will host a free ceremony, emceed by Board of Trustee member
Robert Del Sordo, to properly retire tattered and old US flags. The Battleship will accept your old tattered flags during this ceremony,
which will take place landside just outside the pier at 10am. Learn the proper way that a tattered US flag is to be retired and the
meaning behind these procedures.
The Battleship will also be giving out free mini-US flags for kids on Flag Day, Wednesday, June 14. The ship is open for
tours from 10am to 4pm every day.
To replace your old flag, consider purchasing a flag from the Battleship Ship’s Store. We’ll even fly the flag above the
Battleship. Just a $62 donation for a flag flown over the ship. To order a flag to be flown above the Battleship, visit our

Berthed on the Camden Waterfront along the Delaware River, the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial is open every
day from 10am to 4pm for tours. Experience the amazing views of the Independence Week fireworks on July 1 and July 4 from
the historic decks of the Battleship. Live music, face painting, food concessions, bar service and even take a chance to fire the
portside 5-inch gun! The Battleship will open for the fireworks on July 1 and July 4 at 7pm. Just a $10 donation will get you
