Engine Room Tour
Descend into the armored citadel of the ship for a 90-minute, family friendly, guided, walking tour of the most powerful engineering plant ever installed on a battleship. Learn how steam powered engines moved the massive ship at record breaking speeds and see the spaces crew members worked in. This hands-on walking tour is fun for all ages and allows guests to climb down seven stories into a fire room to see the huge boilers, an engine room to see the turbines and throttle wheels, and a one of the ship's many steering positions.

Special Ceremony: Flag Day, 82nd Commissioning Anniversary, Honor our Heroes Award Presentation
Battleship New Jersey Museum & Memorial has much to commemorate this Saturday, June 14. Come aboard at 10am to celebrate the 82nd USS New Jersey Commissioning Anniversary, to memorialize the presenting of awards to our Honoring Our Heroes nominees, and to observe our Flag Day Retirement Ceremony. The Battleship's Master of Ceremonies will be Capt. Walter M. Urban, USN (ret) as we welcome Capt. Ralph Galati, USAF (ret) as our keynote speaker. Trustee Bob DelSordo will lead the flag retirement ceremony as well. This is a FREE ceremony to attend with any tickets to tour the ship. Cake and refreshments will follow the ceremony on the portside main deck.

Add some firepower to your visit! Pull the trigger and fire a blast from the Battleship’s 40mm saluting gun–just a $75 donation to the Battleship, which saves you $25 off our typical donation ask. Please note, your reservation to fire the saluting gun is an add-on experience. Tickets to tour the ship must be purchased as well. Shoots will occur on the half hour between 12:30pm-2:00pm. Battleship Beer Fest
The Battleship Beer Festival is returning on June 21st, 2025, and this year, the battleship is back on the dock! Get ready for an unforgettable experience aboard this historic vessel, featuring over 30 New Jersey breweries pouring more than 60 locally crafted beers.
Enjoy live music, browse vendor offerings, and soak in the incredible atmosphere of a festival on the ship. Tickets are on sale now—VIP tickets include an exclusive VIP hour from 12-1 PM, while General Admission tickets are for entry from 1-5 PM. Designated Driver tickets are also available for $20. Sporting Clay Invitational
Support and join us aboard the legendary Battleship New Jersey for the 1st Annual Battleship New Jersey Sporting Clay Invitational! Starting at 12:00pm, test your skills against top regional marksmen—including law enforcement pros—in an action-packed day of friendly competition and camaraderie. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or trying it for the first time, you're in for a blast. The adventure kicks off with registration and lunch, and wraps up in style with cocktails, dinner, and an awards ceremony on the fantail. Ready, aim, fire! Special shout out to Cedar Creek Sporting Clays for providing materials to help make this event happen.

Twilight 21+ Tour
Experience an “adult-oriented” tour during the evening hours! This tour, led by the Battleship’s Curatorial team, will show off Sailor Art and allow guests to experience a range of stories, including the Playboy Bunny's visit to the USS New Jersey. Guests will be taken through rarely-seen parts of the ship not included on our typical tour routes. Guests can enjoy a cold beer, glass of wine or a soft drink after the tour on the Main Deck!

Join battleship educators on a tour into the ship's armored citadel and see one of the ship's engine rooms and gun turrets while learning about the key components of a battleship. This program culminates in the chance to design tour own battleship using math! Student Day is a monthly program designed for school-aged children and their adults to learn the science and engineering behind the ship. Every month has a unique tour and hands-on class.
