Vietnam War Living History Day
Join us and pay tribute to Vietnam War veterans on Saturday, April 5! Vietnam War Living History Day will feature reenactors, artifacts, and military vehicles that honor their service. This experience is free with the purchase of a tour of the Battleship! Engine Room Tour
Descend into the armored citadel of the ship for a 90-minute, family friendly, guided, walking tour of the most powerful engineering plant ever installed on a battleship. Learn how steam powered engines moved the massive ship at record breaking speeds and see the spaces crew members worked in. This hands-on walking tour is fun for all ages and allows guests to climb down seven stories into a fire room to see the huge boilers, an engine room to see the turbines and throttle wheels, and a one of the ship's many steering positions.

Turret II Tour
Join a knowledgeable tour guide in a 90-minute, family friendly, walking tour that takes guests through the five stories of one of Battleship New Jersey's massive 16" gun turrets. Visitors will get to stand in the armored gun house where the gun captain oversaw reloading procedures, explore the magazines where 1-ton shells and thousands of powder bags were stored, and pull the triggers in the plotting room where primitive but effective computers aimed the guns over the horizon. This fun for all ages experience includes many hands-on elements that let's guests see and feel what it was like for a World War II crew member to fire the ship's guns.

Small Sailors Tour
Join battleship educators on a tour into the ship's armored citadel and see one of the ship's engine rooms and gun turrets while learning about the key components of a battleship. This program culminates in the chance to design tour own battleship using math! Student Day is a monthly program designed for school-aged children and their adults to learn the science and engineering behind the ship. Every month has a unique tour and hands-on class.

Twilight 21+ Tour
Experience an “adult-oriented” tour during the evening hours! This tour, led by the Battleship’s Curatorial team, will show off Sailor Art and allow guests to experience a range of stories, including the Playboy Bunny's visit to the USS New Jersey. Guests will be taken through rarely-seen parts of the ship not included on our typical tour routes. Guests can enjoy a cold beer, glass of wine or a soft drink after the tour on the Main Deck!

Sensory-Friendly Quiet Day
In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Battleship New Jersey will open early on Saturday, April 26. Overhead announcements, bells, and other stimuli will be silenced to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Join us on Star Wars Day for an epic adventure aboard the historic Battleship New Jersey! Show up in a Star Wars costume & get 50% off admission (must be in-person on May 4 to claim this exciting offer)! Big Guns Cornhole Tournament
Come join us at the 2025 Big Guns Cornhole Tournament aboard the Battleship New Jersey! The event will take place on the fantail of Battleship New Jersey, and we will also be utilizing the pier to add more courts if needed. Gates open/registration 11am, and bags fly at noon!
The format will be Round Robin pool play (group of 5+ team pools populated by SPR, 4 rounds minimum) Field will be Split via snake/serpentine if more than 16 courts are needed. Teams will be placed in a an upper or lower double elimination bracket based on round robin results. This event will be capped at 160 teams. $140/team pre-registration $160/team walk-up registration if not sold out. $20/person cover fee is included with registration (100% goes to the Battleship New Jersey and includes a voucher for a future self-guided tour of the ship, $30 value)

Battleship Beer Fest
The Battleship Beer Festival is returning on June 21st, 2025, and this year, the battleship is back on the dock! Get ready for an unforgettable experience aboard this historic vessel, featuring over 30 New Jersey breweries pouring more than 60 locally crafted beers.
Enjoy live music, browse vendor offerings, and soak in the incredible atmosphere of a festival on the ship.
