Calendar

The Battleship New Jersey hosts many private and public events on the ship.
Check out what public events are coming up on our calendar.

In 1967, while the USS New Jersey was being reactivated for the Vietnam War, 40mm anti-aircraft guns were removed. To save time and money, the tubs, where the guns were housed, were left in place. Captain J. Edward Snyder Jr., always sensitive to crew morale, thought the empty gun tubs, on either side of his cabin, would make perfect swimming pools.

Just in time for back to school, guests can get free buzz cuts by our barber in the Battleship’s Barbershop on Saturday, August 31 from 10am to 2pm. Barber Jeannette will be onboard to do buzz cuts and trims!

Watch the Labor Day Weekend fireworks from the deck of the Battleship New Jersey! Fireworks will take place over the Delaware River on Saturday, August 31.

The Battleship will open her decks at 7 PM. The fireworks shows are projected to begin at 9:30 PM.
