Activities
Come celebrate victory in World War II aboard the Battleship New Jersey! Guests touring the ship will meet WWII re-enactors, check out WWII artifacts and even enjoy 1940’s-era music as we celebrate on the Fantail. All WWII activities are free when you purchase a tour of the Battleship.
Watch the Battleship‘s Quad 40 gun & 5-inch gun “defend” the Big J from an attack by “Tora 101″ WWII planes, replicas of the Japanese Zero, at 11:30am on Saturday, Aug. 10. All part of the ship’s WWII Victory Day! Free to experience with the purchase of a tour or BBQ lunch

The Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial will remember our military heroes who gave
the ultimate sacrifice for our nation with a Facebook Live ceremony on Memorial Day, Monday,
May 25 at 10am.
The Memorial Day ceremony will feature an overview on the history and significance of Memorial
Day by Battleship Curator, Ryan Szimanski, and a talk on what Memorial Day means by Army
veteran and Director of Accounting for the Battleship, Mike Hayes. The ceremony will end with
the casting of a memorial wreath onto the Delaware River.
Since the Battleship remains closed for tours due to the coronavirus, the ceremony will be shown
on Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/BattleshipNJ
