Experience a tour of the World’s Greatest Battleship every day through the end of December from 9:30am to 3pm.
The Battleship is a private non-profit and is not affected by the federal government’s shut down. Revenue from tours goes to the on-going support of the Battleship.
The Battleship will be open for tours on Saturdays, Sundays, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 21 and Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 18, from 9:30am to 3pm in January and February.

The Battleship will open her decks for guests to watch the 6 pm or Midnight SugarHouse New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront.
We’ll have music, food concessions and bar service. We will open her decks two hours before each show – 4:00 pm for the 6:00 pm fireworks show and 10:00 pm for the midnight show.
Come aboard for just a $10 donation per person. All proceeds go to the on-going restoration of the Battleship, a non-profit museum and memorial.
Fire the 5-inch gun at the conclusion of the 6:00 pm and Midnight Fireworks! We’ll offer chances for guests to pull the trigger and fire this historic gun on New Year’s Eve!
Tickets are also available by calling 866-877-6262 ext. 108, or at the Battleship’s Ticket Office, open every day from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, except Christmas Day, and prior to both the 6:00 pm and Midnight shows on New Year’s Eve.
Unless there are dangerous weather conditions, the fireworks will go forward, even if it’s raining. The Battleship will have the Officers’ Wardroom and the Exhibit interior spaces pm the main deck open for guests prior to the start of the fireworks.
There are no chairs and lawn chairs are not permitted to be brought aboard the Battleship. No alcohol is permitted to be brought aboard the Battleship.
Both SugarHouse New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront shows are free to Battleship Members.
The Battleship is currently not accepting any new reservations for the New Year’s Overnight. Thanks to all the families that reserved their bunks! Have a great night aboard the Big J!
Families can experience the First Night of 2019 aboard the Battleship New Jersey! Our award-winning overnight program features dinner and breakfast served at the chowline, a guided tour of the Battleship, the chance to fire a saluting gun and the opportunity to sleep in the bunks that the crew of the USS New Jersey once did.
Further, at midnight, all guests can enjoy the amazing view of the SugarHouse New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront!
The First Night overnight is $79 per person. Guests must be part of a family, which means at least one parent or guardian and one child age 6 – 17.

Eagles mascot Swoop and two members of the Eagles cheerleaders will be aboard the Battleship on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 1pm to 2pm. Watch them shoot the 5-inch gun to fire up the Eagles at 1pm on Saturday. Swoop and the cheerleaders will meet guests touring the Battleship after the gun shoot until 2pm in the Officers’ Wardroom. .
Come aboard and watch the gun shoot at 1pm and meet Swoop and the cheerleaders in the Officers’ Wardroom with the purchase of a tour of the Battleship. If you don’t want to tour the ship but still see the shoot and meet Swoop and the cheerleaders, you came make a donation of any amount to the ship, a non-profit museum and memorial, to come aboard. Tickets can be purchased and donations can be made in the Battleship’s Ticket Office in the Visitors Center.

Look good for Valentine’s Day with a free haircut in the Battleship’s Barber Shop! Barber Jeanette will be cutting hair from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, February 9.
Haircuts are free to guests who take a Fire Power or Turret II tour of the Battleship that day.
Save 20% on a tour of the Battleship when you bring in a can of soup to donate to the Food Bank of South Jersey! The ship will be accepting soup through Feb. 28.
The Battleship is open for tours on Saturdays, Sundays and Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 18 from 9:30am to 3pm through Feb.28. The ship will open for tours every day beginning March 1.
For the Battleship’s monthly “Hands On History” program for February, guests touring the Battleship can learn how electricity works. Visitors can see how the ship generates electricity through a motor, how electricity can flow from one component to another, and how electricity can be harmful to the ship if not careful.
The Battleship’s Education Manager will be offering a class on how the ship generates electricity on February 16 from 12pm -2pm in the Officers’ Wardroom. The class is free to attend for any guests touring the Battleship.
To celebrate opening every day, the Battleship is offering guests a free tour of the
ship with the purchase of an adult Fire Power tour on Friday, March 1.
Experience the Fire Power audio tour, which features the 16-inch gun turrets, the
Bridge, the Combat Engagement Center, the 53-foot Seasprite helicopter and
more. Audio devices narrate your tour, play sound effects and music and even
include accounts of life aboard the Battleship by USS New Jersey veterans!
New this season are 15-minute long interactive programs. In addition to tours of the
Battleship. Guests can learn about Colors, tour the medical quarters, check out the
Machine Shop and more For a schedule on these “Dive Deeper” activities, visit the

The Battleship Tram will also be running on Saturdays and Sundays through
March. Guests can now get a ride along the promenade from Adventure
Aquarium or the Marina Parking Lot to the Battleship during weekends in March.
The American Red Cross will kick off March for Red Cross Month with a ceremony and flag raising aboard the Battleship New Jersey on Sunday, March 3 at noon. The ceremony, which will feature remarks from the Mayor of Camden, Francisco Moran, will take place on the forecastle (forward deck). The flag raising will take place after the ceremony. The Red Cross flag will fly on the Battleship’s main mast throughout March for Red Cross Month. Further, the ship’s exterior lights will be lit red for the Red Cross in March. The event and flag raising is free to attend.
Experience Vietnam War artifacts, re-enactors, veteran interviews and even late 1960s music over the pier’s PA during the Battleship’s annual Vietnam War Living History Day, Saturday, April 6 from 10am to 3pm.
Vietnam artifacts will be available for guests to check out in the Officers’ Wardroom, while re-enactors will be throughout the ship. Our curatorial staff will also interview Vietnam vets, who will share their experiences during the war. All activities are free for guests to experience with the purchase of a Turret II guided tour or a Fire Power audio tour.

The USS New Jersey was commissioned for Vietnam on April 6, 1968. She was the only battleship that saw action off the coast of Vietnam in 1968. Guests touring the Battleship can experience an exhibit that features her commission as part of the Battleship’s Fire Power Tour.
Atco Battles Alzheimer’s 5 will bring together 5 top local bands and more than 300 people for a day of music, education, raffles and fun on board the historic Battleship New Jersey. Bands include Goodman Fiske, the Juliano Brothers, the Blitz, Juicy and 99 Reasons. There will be food and drink available on board. Each ticket sold includes a self-guided walking tour of the Battleship.

On Friday, April 19, families can enjoy a special price for a Fire Power Tour of the Battleship. Just $50 for families of three or four* from 10am to 2pm.
Plus, we’ll have face painting, temporary tattoos and balloon creations, performed by Bonbon’s Parties and Events, for all kids in the Wardroom, part of the Fire Power Tour!
Our Curatorial staff will also have a special electricity display to show kids how the ship generated electricity.
And pre-school children can play in the new Jason’s Kids Kompartment, presented by Lockheed Martin. Try on military uniform, captain the boat, play cook in the play galley and more!

The Building History activity for April will be “Making Radios.” This program, free to experience with the purchase of any tour of the Battleship, will take place on Saturday, April 20 from noon to 2pm in the Officers’ Wardroom. Join the Battleship’s Curator, Ryan Symanski, as he’ll lead guests in playing with the components of small radios. Guests will have the opportunity to put components together to make a simple radio.
For the first time, guests can experience this 90-minute guided tour of the Battleship’s engine room. Battleship
guides will show guests where the ship’s engineers controlled the boilers, propulsion shafts, damage control
central and more. Learn how the Battleship achieved up to 33 knots, or 38 mph.
This interactive tour will launch at 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays, beginning Saturday, April 20. The price is
$29.95 for adults and $25.95 for children age 6 – 11, veterans and seniors. The Battleship recommends
