The American Red Cross will kick off March for Red Cross Month with a ceremony and flag raising aboard the Battleship New Jersey on Sunday, March 3 at noon. The ceremony, which will feature remarks from the Mayor of Camden, Francisco Moran, will take place on the forecastle (forward deck). The flag raising will take place after the ceremony. The Red Cross flag will fly on the Battleship’s main mast throughout March for Red Cross Month. Further, the ship’s exterior lights will be lit red for the Red Cross in March. The event and flag raising is free to attend.
Cheers to New Jersey Beer!
The Battleship will host the annual New Jersey Beer Festival on Saturday, June 20. Adults can sample craft beers from breweries throughout the Garden State. The General Session will run from 1pm to 5pm and tickets are $50 per adult. The VIP session allows guests admission one hour earlier at 12pm, when they can sample some special brews and meet the breweries.
Guests attending the Beer Festival will also get a tour of the Battleship, rock to live music and enjoy some great pub food — all aboard the World’s Greatest Battleship. The NJ Beer Festival will take place rain or shine!
