Did you know that Thomas Edison was awarded a Navy Distinguished Service Medal? In the inaugural Little Lights by the Edison Foundation, we are learning about the electric telegraph.
Our latest exhibit, USS New Jersey: Past, Present and Future, will be our focus for this 90 minute program where we will look at how the original USS New Jersey, BB16 from 1906 – 1920 communicated. This program is designed for preschoolers and their families, and includes a tour of the new exhibit and a hands on activity of how to use a telegraph.
The activity will take place in the Officers’ Wardroom beginning at 10am on Jan. 11. Free with ticketed admission. Pre-Registration highly suggested, space is limited: L.Jones@BattleshipNewJersey.org
