The Battleship New Jersey will participate in the annual Philadelphia Science Festival’s Citywide Star Party on Friday evening, April 20. The ship’s forecastle (forward deck) will open at 7pm for guests to check out the skies above with a professional astronomer. Past years, guests got to see Saturn, Jupiter and an array of stars through telescopes.
We’ll offer some snacks and beverages for guests to purchase during this free event!
Free parking is available along Clinton St., which is on the access road that runs behind the BB&T Pavilion.
Save money on a Fire Power self-guided tour of the Battleship New Jersey and help the hungry in our community!
Now through the end of February, bring in an unopened can of soup and we’ll give you a 20% discount on the Fire Power self-guided tour, available every day from 9:30am with the last tour departing at 3pm.
All cans of soup will be donated to the Food Bank of South Jersey.
Did you know the Battleship can fly the flag over the ship on the day that you want?
Order an American Flag to fly over the Battleship on the ship’s website — https://www.battleshipnewjersey.org/product-category/flown-flag/ –and then email firstname.lastname@example.org and request the date that you want a flag flown.
The Flag will be flown on the ship’s main mast, folded and sent to the donor, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.. We’ll fly a 4’x6′ flag for a $62 donation or a 5’x8’ flag for a $100 donation, while supplies last.
