The Battleship New Jersey hosts many private and public events on the ship.

The Battleship New Jersey will honor and remember all our veterans with a ceremony on the forecastle (forward deck) on Veterans Day, Saturday, Nov. 11 at 11am. This free ceremony will feature keynote speakerBruce Heilman, a WWII Marine veteran and National Spokesman for The Greatest Generation Foundation. Capt. Walt Urban, USN (ret), the Battleship’s Military Liaison Officer and Chairman of the Board of Trusttees, will serve as MC. The ceremony will end with the casting of a memorial wreath upon the Delaware River to remember all veterans who have passed.
The Battleship will also allow vets to tour the ship that day for any donation amount. Just check in at the Battleship’s Ticket Office for a Fire Power self-guided tour for whatever donation you can make. Tours will be available from 9:30am to 3pm on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Further, the Battleship will host a Veterans Classic Car Show on the pier from noon to 3pm. Guests touring the Battleship are welcome to check out the vehicles.


The Battleship is currently not accepting any new reservations for the New Year’s Overnight. Thanks to all the families that reserved their bunks! Have a great night aboard the Big J!
Families can experience the First Night of 2019 aboard the Battleship New Jersey! Our award-winning overnight program features dinner and breakfast served at the chowline, a guided tour of the Battleship, the chance to fire a saluting gun and the opportunity to sleep in the bunks that the crew of the USS New Jersey once did.
Further, at midnight, all guests can enjoy the amazing view of the SugarHouse New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront!
The First Night overnight is $79 per person. Guests must be part of a family, which means at least one parent or guardian and one child age 6 – 17.

For the first time, guests can experience this 90-minute guided tour of the Battleship’s engine room. Battleship
guides will show guests where the ship’s engineers controlled the boilers, propulsion shafts, damage control
central and more. Learn how the Battleship achieved up to 33 knots, or 38 mph.
This interactive tour will launch at 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays, beginning Saturday, April 20. The price is
$29.95 for adults and $25.95 for children age 6 – 11, veterans and seniors. The Battleship recommends
purchasing tickets in advance online at www.battleshipnewjersey.org or by calling 866-877-6262 ext. 108.

The WWII Victory Day BBQ Lunch and Dance will take place on the fantail (tented rear deck) of the Battleship.
This year’s event will feature the 1940 sounds of Drew Nugent & the Midnight Society Band, as well as the dancing of the Olde City Sweethearts.
Guests who purchase a lunch ticket cannot only enjoy a delicious BBQ on the fantail with a cash bar,dance to 40s music, but they also get a Fire Power tour of the Battleship! In addition to the 16-inch gun turrets and other amazing spaced along the tour, you’ll also get to check out WWII artifacts in the Officers’ Wardroom and meet WWII re-enactors throughout the ship!
Watch the Battleship‘s Quad 40 gun and 5-inch gun “defend” the Big J from an attack by “Tora 101″ WWII planes, replicas of the Japanese Zero, at 11:30am on Saturday, Aug. 10. All part of the ship’s WWII Victory Day! Free to experience with the purchase of a tour or BBQ lunch.
