Dec 9 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am
All veterans are invited to attend a special ceremony to remember the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, presented by the Camden and Gloucester County Freeholders, at 10:30am on Friday, Dec. 9.
The ceremony, which will take place on the fantail (tented rear deck) of the Battleship, will feature keynote remarks by Con. Donald Norcross, 1st District, NJ, musical performances by Eastern High School Band, singer Maria DiSciullo, and bugler Greg Murphy, a 21 Gun Salute by Marine Corps League 1775 Detachment, salutes to veterans and a wreath presentation to remember those killed in the Pearl Harbor attack. The event is free to attend and there will also be complimentary coffee, hot chocolate and donuts, courtesy of the Camden County Canteen. Free parking in lot #1 across from the BB&T Pavilion and shuttle service will be available.
Apr 20 @ 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Employees from Comcast offices in the Philadelphia area will spend Friday, April 20 at the Battleship — not to take a tour, but rather to volunteer to paint, chip, clean, landscape, and more on and around the ship.
Last year, several hundred Comcast employees helped the Battleship with several projects, including moving the mooring lines off the pier.
The board, staff and volunteers of the Battleship salutes and thanks all Comcast employees for volunteering to help the Big J!
