The Battleship New Jersey hosts many private and public events on the ship.

The annual Battleship New Jersey Vietnam War Living History Day will take place on Saturday, April 8 from 10am to 3pm. Check out Vietnam War artifacts, re-enactors, and hear from veterans who served there. We’ll even change the Pier music to songs from the late 1960s. All Vietnam War activities are free to experience with a tour of the Battleship.

Guests can see the stars from the decks of the Battleship! You’ll also see planets and some satellites too! The Battleship will be one of the sites of The Philadelphia Science Festival’s Citywide Star Party on Friday, April 28 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. See the stars, planets and satellites through telescopes on the forecastle (forward deck) of the Battleship during this free event. Parking on Clinton St. will also be free.

This night, the girls are in charge!
Your Girl Scout troop is invited to a spend a fun, educational and totally cool night aboard the Battleship New Jersey! Our award-winning overnight encampment program features dinner and breakfast served from the chowline, a guided tour of the Battleship, a ride in the 4D Flight Simulator and the opportunity to sleep in the bunks that the crew of the USS New Jersey once did!
Plus, girls can participate in a USO-style show, complete with performers in period dress and learn about how women helped build the Battleship during WWII. Girl Scouts will also get a “Women Serving Our Nation” patch!
Girls Only Nights are scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2017 and Saturday, October 14, 2017.

Cold beer, great food, and a little slice of history. Come to the Flying Fish Beer Garden to get all of these, and more!
Sample delicious craft beers by the Flying Fish brewery, one of the most renowned local craft beer microbreweries. Enjoy food from local vendors to go with your drink, and listen to some soulful tunes by the Case and Barley Band. And as if that weren’t enough, all of this will be hosted on the pier where the Iowa-class battleship USS New Jersey is docked. The best part of all? Admission is free! You only need to bring money for the food and drinks; everything else can be enjoyed with just your own self.
Want to bring your kids? No problem! The pier beer garden is open to all, and soft drinks will be served.
Come down to the Big J Friday, May 19th from 4 PM to 8 PM and take in the memorable sights and sounds. We’ll be hosting another event on Thursday, May 25th as well! We hope to see you there!

To celebrate Waterfront Day on Sunday, May 28, the Battleship will allow guests touring the ship that day to fire the saluting gun every hour from 10am to 5pm. Guests can enter to fire the gun at the Ticket Office of the Battleship.

The day will conclude with a fireworks show over the River at dusk. Guests can come aboard the Battleship to watch the fireworks for a $10 donation. The Battleship will have music, food and bar concessions for the fireworks show. The ship will open at 7pm for fireworks on May 28,

The Battleship remembers our military men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice with a memorial service, conducted by the Bishop Eustace Knights of Columbus. The ceremony, which will take place on the forecastle (forward deck) and is free to attend, will include a live performance of TAPS and the casting of a memorial wreath into the Delaware River.

Michael Rooker, star of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and The Walking Dead, will be visiting the Battleship New Jersey this coming Friday, June 2nd at 11 a.m. to fire off the 5-inch portside (Philadelphia-side) gun on the deck of the Battleship New Jersey. Rooker is appearing this weekend at the Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

The Taste of South Jersey returns to the fantail of the Battleship New Jersey, the host sponsor, for the second year in a row. Join us for an evening on the River and taste your way around the fantail of this great ship and member. Enjoy samples from these member eateries from soup to salad to entree to dessert. Then, you can vote for your favorites, tasters choice & dessert. Cash bar available.

Celebrate Flag Day, Thursday, June 14 aboard the Battleship. All guests touring the Battleship will get a mini US flag.
Between 10am and 1pm, guests can bring aboard their torn and tattered American flags to the Battleship and the Camden County Council American Legion/Sons of Legion will inspect and take the flags for a proper disposal.

It’s all happening at the Steel Beach Blast on the Battleship New Jersey, Saturday, July 1 from 7pm to 10pm.
