The Halloween Costume Party, initially scheduled to take place on the Battleship, has been relocated to Victor’s Pub, also located on the Camden Waterfront, NJ. All tickets purchased for the party on the Battleship for this Friday evening, Oct. 28, will be accepted at Victor’s.
The Halloween Costume Party will take place from 7pm to midnight and will feature DJ and dancing, prizes, cash bar and food concessions.

The Camden and Gloucester County Board of Freeholders will pay tribute to Pearl Harbor survivors and to all veterans who served and lost their lives protecting our great nation. A ceremony will take place on the fantail of the historic Battleship New Jersey on Friday, Dec. 9 at 10:30am.
The ceremony, free to attend, will feature keynote remarks by Con. Donald Norcross, US Congress, 1st District, NJ, as well as remarks by Camden and Gloucester County Freeholders. The Eastern Regional High School Band will perform patriotic songs, while Maria DiSciullo will sing our National Anthem, Michael McAleavy, the piper for the US Air Force, will perform Amazing Grace and bugler Greg Murphy will play TAPS. The event will culminate with a 21 Gun Salute by the Marine Corps League 1775 Detachment.

The Battleship New Jersey will host a Veterans Day Ceremony on the forecastle (forward deck) of the Battleship at 11am on Friday, Nov. 11. The keynote speech will be given by WWII Navy veteran and Battleship volunteer John Quinesso. Our National Anthem and TAPS will be performed by bugler and volunteer Nan LaCourte and we will also cast a wreath into the Delaware River in memory of all veterans who have passed.
The Veterans Day Ceremony is free to all guests to attend.

The Battleship will host a Naval Symposium, featuring presentations from Dr. James Holmes (photo to the left) and Dr. Michael Golda, lunch and a tour of the Battleship.
James Holmes is a professor of strategy at the Naval War College and veteran of the faculty at the University of Georgia School of Public and International Affairs. A former U.S. Navy surface warfare officer, he served as a weapons and engineering officer in the Battleship Wisconsin, engineering and firefighting instructor at the Surface Warfare Officers School Command. He was the last gunnery officer to fire a battleship’s big guns in anger.
As Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Golda is responsible for the planning and execution of the research, development, and transition of new components and integrated machinery systems for future surface vessels and undersea vehicles of the United States Navy. Dr. Golda graduated from the United States Naval Academy and retired after 30 years of service, active and Reserve. As an officer, he qualified as both a Surface Warfare Officer and an Engineering Duty Officer. He received his Masters and PhD from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey. Dr. Golda joined the Naval Surface Warfare Center in 1992.

Families can enjoy a delicious hot breakfast served chowline-style at the crew’s galley, a self-guided tour of the Battleship, the chance to win some great prizes, and the opportunity to meet and get your photo with Santa — all aboard the Battleship! The Breakfast with Santa, presented by 6ABC, will take place on Saturday, Dec. 10, beginning at 9am.

Come aboard the Battleship to watch a parade of boats decorated for the holiday season with music, lights and lots of fun for the entire family. For the first time ever, the parade route is extended and boats will pass the Battleship New Jersey on the Camden Waterfront! The boats will then cruise by Winterfest on Penn’s Landing and loop back around to the Independence Seaport Museum. Guests can enjoy holiday music, narration by Steve Nikazy and even food and bar concessions on the deck of the Battleship!
To come aboard for the Parade of Lights, you can take a Fire Power tour, which will be available until 5pm on Dec. 10, or make a $10 donation at the Ticket Office, open until 5:30pm on Dec. 10.

Tickets are still available for the 6pm and Midnight Fireworks shows from the deck of the Battleship. The ship will open at 4pm for the 6pm show and 10pm for the Midnight show. Music, food concessions and bar service will be available. You can even take a chance to pull the trigger to fire the portside (Philadelphia-side) five-inch gun at the conclusion of each show.
Admission to the 6pm and Midnight Fireworks shows is a $10 donation per person. Tickets can be purchased by clicking the Tickets link on this page, or at the Battleship Ticket Office, which will be open before each show, or by calling 866-877-6262 ext. 108.
Proceeds go to the on-going restoration and maintenance of the Battleship, a non-profit museum and memorial.

Experience the Turret II Tour this Saturday, Jan. 7 at 11am! Although we are closed for walk-up tours in January, we have openings for the premier Turret II tour this Saturday! School groups who schedule a Fire Power guided group tour of the Battleship in February can experience a complimentary onboard class on the USS Mason, a predominantly African-American crew and an example of desegregation in the Navy.
Touch history as your guide takes your group throughout our nation’s most decorated battleship. Experience the 16-inch gun turret, the Combat Engagement Center and learn how the sailors lived aboard this floating city. Tours are $10 per person for school groups. For groups over 20 guests, for every 10 students, you’ll get one complimentary adult tour.

The Battleship will re-open for walk-up tours on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 9:30am with the last tour of the day departing at 3pm. The ship will be open for walk-up tours on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 20, through February. The Battleship will open every day for tours in March.
To make our first walk-up tour weekend of the year more “souper,” the Battleship is asking guests to bring in a can of soup to donate to the South Jersey Food Bank. Guests who bring in a can of soup will also get a 20% discount on Fire Power tours during the weekend as well as help some local families in need.

The annual Battleship New Jersey Vietnam War Living History Day will take place on Saturday, April 8 from 10am to 3pm. Check out Vietnam War artifacts, re-enactors, and hear from veterans who served there. We’ll even change the Pier music to songs from the late 1960s. All Vietnam War activities are free to experience with a tour of the Battleship.
