Calendar

The Battleship New Jersey hosts many private and public events on the ship.
Check out what public events are coming up on our calendar.

To celebrate the return of members of the crew of the USS New Jersey, the Battleship is sailing back to the 1980’s on June 18. We’ll have 1980s military artifacts on display in the Officers’ Wardroom, The Game Truck on the Pier for guests to play free video games from the 80’s from 10am to noon, and even 80’s music played on the ship’s PA! All 80’s activities can be experienced with the purchase of a tour of the Battleship!
Due to the excessive heat forecasts for Saturday, August 13, we will reschedule the 1940s Dance and Lunch to another date. That date is to be determined.
Other activities, such as WWII re-enactors, artifacts and interview sessions aboard the Battleship will still take place on Saturday, August 13 from 10am to 4pm. All WWII activities are free with the purchase of any tour ticket.
The Halloween Costume Party, initially scheduled to take place on the Battleship, has been relocated to Victor’s Pub, also located on the Camden Waterfront, NJ. All tickets purchased for the party on the Battleship for this Friday evening, Oct. 28, will be accepted at Victor’s.
The Halloween Costume Party will take place from 7pm to midnight and will feature DJ and dancing, prizes, cash bar and food concessions.

The Battleship New Jersey will host a Veterans Day Ceremony on the forecastle (forward deck) of the Battleship at 11am on Friday, Nov. 11. The keynote speech will be given by WWII Navy veteran and Battleship volunteer John Quinesso. Our National Anthem and TAPS will be performed by bugler and volunteer Nan LaCourte and we will also cast a wreath into the Delaware River in memory of all veterans who have passed.
The Veterans Day Ceremony is free to all guests to attend.

The Battleship remembers our military men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice with a memorial service, conducted by the Bishop Eustace Knights of Columbus. The ceremony, which will take place on the forecastle (forward deck) and is free to attend, will include a live performance of TAPS and the casting of a memorial wreath into the Delaware River.

The Battleship New Jersey will honor and remember all our veterans with a ceremony on the forecastle (forward deck) on Veterans Day, Saturday, Nov. 11 at 11am. This free ceremony will feature keynote speakerBruce Heilman, a WWII Marine veteran and National Spokesman for The Greatest Generation Foundation. Capt. Walt Urban, USN (ret), the Battleship’s Military Liaison Officer and Chairman of the Board of Trusttees, will serve as MC. The ceremony will end with the casting of a memorial wreath upon the Delaware River to remember all veterans who have passed.
The Battleship will also allow vets to tour the ship that day for any donation amount. Just check in at the Battleship’s Ticket Office for a Fire Power self-guided tour for whatever donation you can make. Tours will be available from 9:30am to 3pm on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Further, the Battleship will host a Veterans Classic Car Show on the pier from noon to 3pm. Guests touring the Battleship are welcome to check out the vehicles.

Since the Battleship New Jersey will be closed indefinitely due to the coronavirus, the annual Vietnam War Living History Day, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 4, has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule this event for later this year. However, that will depend on how long this crisis continues.
In the meantime, please stay inside and be safe.
