Battleship to Salute the Food Bank of South Jersey with Gun Shoot

Ceremony in honor of the Food Bank of South Jersey’s 35th Anniversary. The ceremony starts at 1:15 PM.


In attendance will be Food Bank of South Jersey CEO Fred Wasiak, members of the Food Bank’s BOARD OF TRUSTEES,

and longtime employees of the Food Bank of South Jersey. Also, family members of the Food Bank team.


The Food Bank of South Jersey is markings its 35th anniversary during its time of unprecedented service and support during

the COVID-19 regional impact.  In the FIRST 90 DAYS OF COVID-19 RESPONSE, the Food Bank of South Jersey has

distributed more than FIVE MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD, distributed 25,000 emergency food boxes and fed more than

90,000 people at more than 60 food distribution locations throughout SOUTH JERSEY. The Food Bank of South Jersey’s

COVID-19 response CONTINUES!!!!


The Food Bank of South Jersey was born in the City of Camden in on June 24, 1985, founded by a small group of volunteers

who were dedicated to feeding their food-insecure neighbors throughout the City of Camden.

Located on the Delaware River, along the Camden Waterfront across from the city of  Philadelphia, the

Battleship is re-opened for self-guided tours!  The Hit the Deck exterior tour features the 16-inch gun

Turrets, the tomahawk missile launch boxes, the Seasprite helicopter and more!  Tours are available

Every day from 10am to 4pm.  Free parking is available along 100 Clinton St. and in the Marina lot.
