Battleship Partnering with Homecoming 250 Navy Marine Corps January 28, 2022
The Battleship is partnering with Homecoming 250 Navy Marine Corps to put the Battleship in the spotlight during the Nation’s Semiquincentennial.
Homecoming 250 is bringing the main celebrations of the Navy and Marine Corps 250th birthdays to their birthplace – Philadelphia and the Delaware River. For the Navy 250th, we will assemble historical, replica, and active-duty ships from every major war in which the Navy has fought, including the Battleship and a full-scale floating replica of the USS Monitor. For the Marine Corps 250th, we will assemble ships important to the Marines (including the Battleship) and recreate the birthplace of the Marines, Tun Tavern.
