Battleship Celebrates WWII Victory Day on Saturday, August 15

PLACE:         Battleship New Jersey, Camden Waterfront, NJ


DETAILS:     Guests touring the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial on Saturday, August 15 will

not only experience how life was like aboard our nation’s most decorated and largest

Battleship, but they will also experience World War II artifacts in the Officers’ Wardroom,

Admiral’s and Captain’s Cabins,and Crew’s Mess, encounter WWII re-enactors throughout the ship, and also witness

the ship’s Gun Crew firing the 5-inch gun and the Quad 40 guns.


All WWII activities are part of the Battleship’s annual WWII Victory Day.  Guests can experience

the WWII artifacts and re-enactors with the purchase of a Fire Power tour of the Battleship on Saturday.


Throughout the day, guests can also make a $50 donation to pull the trigger and fire the Battleship’s

Portside Saluting Gun!

Located on the Delaware River, along the Camden Waterfront across from the city of Philadelphia,

the Battleship is open for Fire Power self-guided tours every day from 10am to  3pm. The annual

Battleship Golf Tournament will take place on Monday. Sept. 14 at Medford Lakes Country Club.
