Presented by The Board of Trustees for the Battleship New Jersey, Camden County Veterans Affairs, and Camden County Board of Freeholders

CAMDEN WATERFRONT, NJ — The Battleship New Jersey, in partnership with Camden County Office of
Veterans Affairs, the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders, US Family Health Plan and Holtec, will offer active military personnel from Joint Base – McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and Dover Air Force Base a full-course turkey dinner on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26.

“This annual event is truly the highlight of the year for our staff and volunteers,” said John Ryan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Battleship. “To provide a turkey dinner and tour of the Battleship to our brave men and women of the military is a tremendous inspiration as we begin the holiday season.”

The meal will be prepared by Andreotti’s Catering and served by volunteers from the Battleship’s chowline at approximately 11:30am. The troops are expected to arrive at 10:30am. A brief welcoming ceremony will take place on the fantail at 11am before full-course meal is served.

Residents are invited to welcome and cheer on our heroes from the pier of the Battleship, which will be open for guests at 10am. Free parking is available in lot #1, across from the Susquehanna Bank Center, courtesy of the Camden Parking Authority. Live music by the Woodland Sting Bands and refreshments will be available for guests on the pier.

After their meals, the military guests will be treated to music from DJ Stewart Balsham, an appearance by
Miss New Jersey and more!

“This really is the perfect way for residents of the area to begin their Thanksgiving holiday,” added Rev.
Floyd White, Director, Camden County Office of Veterans Affairs. “It’s a terrific chance to show our thanks to these brave men and women for the tremendous sacrifices they have made for our country.”
