EVENT:         BATTLESHIP NEW JERSEY WILL REMEMBER THOSE LOST ON THE 9/11 ATTACKS WITH A MEMORIAL CEREMONY ON THE FORECASTLE

PLACE:         Forecastle (Forward Deck), Battleship New Jersey, Camden Waterfront, NJ

TIME:            Saturday, September 11, 2021  9:30am

DETAILS:     The Battleship New Jersey will remember those lost in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 with a memorial ceremony on the forecastle (forward deck) on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 9:30am. Nan LaCorte, a volunteer on the non-profit museum, will perform TAPS on bugle at 9:37 A.M. when, 20 years ago at that time, Flight 77 crashed into The Pentagon.  The Battleship will participate in the nationwide TAPS For Veterans event, where TAPS will be performed at landmarks, museums and other locations throughout the nation on Saturday morning.  Battleship Board of Trustee member and veteran Bob Del Sordo will also cast a memorial wreath onto the Delaware River to remember those who were lost 20 years ago on September 11. The ceremony is free to attend.

Located on the Delaware River, along the Camden Waterfront across from the city of Philadelphia, the Battleship is open for tours every day from 10am to 4pm every day.
