4th of July to Feature Saluting Gun Blasts, Free Flags and More!

TIME:            Saturday, July 4,  10am – 4pm


DETAILS:       There may not be fireworks scheduled over the Delaware River for the 4th of the July this year, bur the Battleship

New Jersey will allow guests to have a blast, literally!   From 10am to 4pm, on the hour, a guest touring the ship on July 4th

can pull the trigger of the portside saluting gun and render a salute to our great nation!  We’ll announce the winners’

names over the ship’s 1MC (PA) system.


Or for a $50 donation, we’ll let you pull the trigger for your own salute on July 4th!


Also on Saturday, guests can check out a model of the Battleship displayed on the Patricia Egan Jones Pier.  All kids will

also get a mini flag, available in the Battleshop gift store, located landside in the Visitors Center. At 2pm, we’ll also ring

the ship’s bell 13 times as the Battleship s joins other museums and historic landmarks in ringing the bell as part of the Let

Freedom Ring program for Independence Day.


The Battleship is open for Fire Power self-guided tours from 10am to 4pm every day, including July 4th.  Free parking
