The Battleship New Jersey was honored to host the Hospital and Dental Division of the USS New Jersey in the 1980s today. The group, which included some family members, enjoyed lunch on the fantail and a guided tour of their ship.

Young’s Rigging installed a periscope from a Japanese WWII submarine in the Visitors Center of the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial. Guests will soon be able to look at the Big J through the periscope, which was donated by Edmund Optics.

The Battleship will celebrate Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 18 with complimentary tours to active military personnel and their families. Experience the a Fire Power Tour of the World’s Greatest Battleship! Take a walk down Broadway, Climb inside the 16-inch gun turret, learn how the crew lived aboard this floating city and more!
Students from the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department of Drexel University tested a Capstone Project along Broadway aboard the Battleship New Jersey. The project would allow first responders to better communicate during an emergency situation in a restricted area, such as the subway.
Beginning Friday, May 17, guests who take the Fire Power self-guided tour can now take a walk down Broadway, the longest passageway aboard the Battleship. Fire Power tours launch every day 9:30am to 5pm. To go inside the engine rooms, take the Steam to Speed guided tour, which launches Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm.
The Battleship is open for tours until 5pm! To celebrate our extended hours, guests can get half-off a tour ticket if they visit the Battleship New Jersey between 3pm and 5pm, Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3! Just ask for your half-price tour ticket at the Battleship Ticket Office!
