Volunteering aboard the Battleship New Jersey is a unique opportunity. Volunteers can work with veterans and youth groups, participate in certain events, and attend specialized lectures and tours. You’ll work with men and women who share a common interest in learning, studying, and teaching our nation’s naval history as well as preserving the world’s most decorated battleship.  Volunteers also gain access to the ship’s private library with over a thousand books, manuscripts, charts, historical records, artifacts, and memorabilia.
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available including lecturer, librarian, historical researcher, restoration specialist, maintenance, radio club, clerical support, or stationed tour guide.
Eligibility: Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteers must complete an interview process, an onboard training program and follow safety and procedures outlined by Battleship New Jersey Museum & Memorial.
