CEREMONY AND FREE TOURS FOR VETS AS THE BATTLESHIP CELEBRATES VETERANS DAY

DETAILS: The Battleship New Jersey will hold a ceremony on the forecastle at 11am on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015. The ceremony, free to any guest, will feature speakers
Capt. Walt Urban, USN (ret.) and Col. Floyd White, USAF, and Director of Camden County Veterans Affairs. The ceremony will also include live music by Battleship volunteer and bugler Nan Lacourte and a memorial wreath casted into the Delaware River

Veterans can enjoy a free self-guided tour of the Battleship, which will be open for walk-up tours from 9:30am with the last tour of the day departing at 3pm, on Nov. 11.

Located on the Delaware River, along the Camden Waterfront across from the city of Philadelphia, the Battleship is open for walk-up tours every Saturday and Sunday in November and December, as well as some select weekdays from 9:30am to 3pm. Come greet active military and homeless veterans as the Battleship will offer over 250 of these heroes on Thanksgiving Day at 10:00am.
